Hydrophil bedeutet Wasseranziehend, feuchtigkeitsliebend (altgr. h\u00fddor<\/i> \u201eWasser\u201c, ph\u00edlos<\/i> \u201eliebend\u201c). Hydrophile Oberfl\u00e4chen saugen Wasser auf und k\u00f6nnen also mit Wasser benetzt werden. Druckplatten sind meist in einen hydrophilen und einen hydrophob<\/a>en Teil unterschieden, der hydrophile st\u00f6\u00dft die \u00f6lhaltige Druckfarbe ab, da er Wasser anzieht, der hydrophobe Teil zieht die Druckfarbe an, die sich an diesen Stellen anlagert.
