sRGB<\/a> ist der am weitesten verbreitete RGB Farbraum<\/a>, und wurde 1996 von Hewlett-Packard und Microsoft f\u00fcr Monitore geschaffen. sRGB ist der Standardfarbraum aller preiswerten Digitalkameras und Scanner. Nahezu jede 8-Bit RGB Datei ohne Profilkennzeichnung entspricht sRGB.<\/p>\n

Intel, Pantone<\/a>, Corel und zahlreiche andere Unternehmen setzen auf sRGB oder haben den Farbraum als Standard implementiert. In der Druckindustrie ist heute sRGB nicht mehr beliebt, da der Farbraum teilweise deutlich kleiner ist als der druckbare Farbbereich von ISOCoatedV2<\/a> und daher die druckbaren Farben teilweise einschränkt. Farbräume wie AdobeRGB 1998 oder ECI<\/a>-RGB V2, die für den Druck optimiert sind, werden daher auch für die Bildbearbeitung in RGB heute bevorzugt.<\/p>\n
